Advice pls

Hello everyone,

I have a Minix Neo U22-XJ and like to update it to the latest platform.
I know its quite tricky to do this and would like a specialist advice.
When i do the fota update it says i have the latest version but i assume i can have a more modern platform.
This version lacks codecs and cant even play video files at once like .video.ts and .vob files.
Request advice, thanks in advance.

I use Kodi to play my files and i have the latest version.
Even with that i continue to run into files i cant play.
With the latest platform i mean the Minix software.
I like that to be the latest.
I believe i now have minix metro.
What is the latest platform for the minix U22 XJ then?

Have you tried this ?
you need to go to Settings > Videos > File Lists > Combine Split Video Items and make sure it's selected. That causes Kodi to see the DVD structure as one movie object
