Windows 8.1 on NGC-1

Hello all,
So Windows 10 is driving me up the wall, anyone successfully running Windows 8.1 on it? I know it would "install" fine, but I'm wondering about whether Win8.1 would have drivers for all devices.

It's the kid's PC, and I want to disable Windows updates and Defender permanently. He's not connected to the internet, and the constant pestering is driving me nuts. I don't think W11 is better on that front.
 
Sorry i don´t have that minix model to test.

You also can try ubuntu (if it is ok with you and your Kid)

If there are no minix windows 8.1 version (available here to download) you have to download windows 8.1 (from the internet) and after installation install the drivers (if you need)

Windows versions from the internet :
-you have to do it all, format the drive (if you want), install the OS and after that install the drivers (if you need).
-later versions of windows has more recent drivers and more compatibility to newer devices.

Drivers from here (https://files.theminixforum.com/shared/drivers/NGC-1-Driver-all-20160428.zip) are not working , i tested/downloaded two times with no sucess (error - file is invalid)

Ok thanks. I do have the driver pack already but don't know if I can check from the files if they would work on Win8.
I checked some of the files (e.g. .xml), some do refer to Win8 (or even Vista), but some only mention Win10, so I expect that using this driver pack, I wouldn't get all devices covered in Win8.
I was hoping someone would have tried and found out if Win8 was natively supporting the NGC-1 devices. If no-one tried, there's only 1 way to know! I could always re-install Win10 if it doesn't work.
